Ridge View Elementary students read 500 books – The Daily Star-Journal

Students in Mrs. Ritter’s first grade class at Ridge View Elementary competed in the 500 book reading challenge.

This year, eight students successfully logged at least 500 books.

These students include, Ronin Delarosa-Kniskern, Destiny Perkins, Colton McNeel, Kiersten Hillsman, Caleb Miller, Ethan Tye, Clayton Coltrin, and Te’Vion Taylor.

Students in the class were provided books from the classroom to take home and read.

These books, along with books from home, were logged into reading logs and returned to school.

For every 100 books read, students received a special reading prize and were able to eat lunch with Mrs. Ritter.

The students who read 500 books received a special 500 Book Challenge t-shirt and a personalized trophy.
