Fact Versus Fantasy In The Jeff Bezos’ Amazon and President-Elect Trump’s Monopoly Saga – Forbes

On November 8, 2016 shares of Amazon closed during regular market trading at $788 per share. The next day shares opened at $762 per share and closed at $772 per share. On November 10, 2016 the shares opened at $779, hit an intra-day low of $718 per share and closed the day at $742 per share. On November 14, 2016 shares hit an intra-day low of $710.

So, for those not in the know the obvious question is what the heck is happening with Amazon shares?

Did Amazon get a ton of downgrades from Wall Street sellsiders?

The answer would be no. In fact, most analysts are pounding the table that investors should buy the stock given the beatdown.

Did the company come out with something major negative about growth going ahead?

Not in the least! Reality is that the company is having an outstanding Holiday selling season and is set to exceed sales from their outstanding year-ago Holiday quarter.

So what is going on?
