A joke book that was published over a month ago has become a bestseller on Amazon.
The ‘Reasons to Vote for Democrats: A Comprehensive Guide’ by Michael J. Knowles is a book filled with empty pages.
Published back in February, right-wingers have pushed the title to the top of the book charts.
Describing itself as ‘a political treatise sure to stand the test of time’ and ‘a must-have addition to any political observer’s coffee table.’
The book, now selling for less than £5, has been praised by conservatives.
Ben Shapiro, who was once editor-at-large at Breitbart, called the 266-page work ‘thorough’.
The author claims he has used some ‘really great’ scholarship and the table of contents include a chapter list and bibliography.
No other words are found.
Arguably you could use it as a journal and fill in your personal reasons for each of the chapter headings to back the Democratic party.
Speaking on the Fox & Friends show he said: ‘When I observed their record and reasons to vote for them, on reasons of economics or foreign policy or homeland security or civil rights and so on, I realised it was probably best to just leave all the pages blank.’
Adding things like the ‘Values’ chapter needed to be left blank for a specific reason.
He said: ‘At first I turned to the 2012 Democratic National Convention, and it turned out they were deciding whether or not to include God in their party platform. And the Democrats booed God. That’s not good.’
