The Public Theatre and The New Yorker present β€œThe Stuff of Fiction,” the first installment of β€œPublic Forum: A Well-Ordered Nation,” a new four-part event series exploring the Trump Presidency.

Tonight, our editor-in-chief, David Remnick, sits down with a group of experts in make-believe, including the playwright Tony Kushner; the poet, essayist, and playwright Claudia Rankine; and the author Salman Rushdie. Together, they try to make sense of this American moment, in which truth can feel stranger than fiction.
